🚨 ALERT: Increasing Illness in Children Linked to Vapes – What Parents Need to Know 🚨

We’re seeing a worrying rise in young people becoming unwell after using vapes, including those containing THC and other harmful substances. Many of these products are unregulated, mislabelled, and can contain dangerous chemicals that put children’s health at serious risk.

🔴 Key Risks to Children & Young People:

Serious illness including breathing difficulties, vomiting, and loss of consciousness

Hidden ingredients such as THC, synthetic cannabinoids, or high nicotine levels

Attractive packaging designed to appeal to children

Counterfeit vapes that look legitimate but contain toxic substances

Rapid addiction, especially in younger users

🟡 Warning Signs to Look Out For:

Sudden behaviour changes

Unusual smells (sweet, fruity, or chemical)

Vape devices or brightly coloured cartridges hidden in bags or bedrooms

Unexplained drowsiness, dizziness, or nausea

🔵 What Parents Can Do:

Have open, calm conversations about the risks

Remind children that many vapes are not safe, even if they look harmless

Seek medical help immediately if you suspect your child has used a vape and becomes unwell

Report suspicious vape sales, especially to children
